Board Leadership for Destinations: A Symposium on Best Practices is an MBA-style immersion event into Best Practices in play across North America for cutting-edge Destination Marketing Organization governance and leadership.
Board Leadership for Destinations is the sector’s only event completely dedicated to Destination Organizations looking to prepare their Board Members for the future. With the increasing levels of both community expectation and government scrutiny of our work to enhance Quality of Life in our communities, it is imperative that Destination Organization CEOs and their Board Leaders are armed with all the tools needed to collectively face these existential challenges.
The Destination Leadership Consortium brings together 5 leading consultancies in the DMO space that are dedicated to providing professional development and consulting services to CVBs, DMOs and other Community Development Agencies for CEOs and their Board of Directors.
In collaboration with Destinations International, the Consortium has come together to create a high-impact, 2-day immersion event, specifically for Destination Organization CEOs and Board Leadership (ideally Chair and incoming Chair) to explore and examine the challenges ahead…and identify potential solutions to ensure that the Board is ready to address these issues head-on.
Symposium attendees will hear from Experts in the areas of Governance, Finance, Funding, Culture, Succession and DEI…and participate in roundtable discussions to go deeper into these and other key sector issues.
